Below, you can find answers to some common questions and concerns that
clients usually have.
What is your legal background?
I received my JD from Wake Forest University School of Law in 1982, and
have more than 30 years of experience in representing clients for thousands
of criminal and DUI cases. From 1985 to 1989, I served as the Assistant
Commonwealth's Attorney for the City of Virginia Beach, giving me
valuable knowledge of how the prosecution process works. I also experienced
in personal injury litigation and claims.
What are your credentials?
I am licensed to practice in the states of Virginia, Florida, and Utah.
In 1997, I earned a Board Certification as a Criminal Trial Specialist
from the National Board of Trial Advocacy (NBTA). I am also part of the
American Bar Association, National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers,
the Virginia Trial Lawyers Association, and the Virginia Beach Bar Association.
I also host "Your Voice for Justice" Radio Show on Saturdays
from 2 PM to 3 PM EST on WHTK Freedom 1650 AM Radio.
What types of cases do you handle?
I help clients in the legal areas of criminal defense and personal injury
litigation. As a member of a military family growing up, I am also extremely
dedicated to helping servicemen and servicewomen and their families with
their legal needs. My guarantee is that you will feel better after talking with me!
Do you offer free consultation?
Yes, I offer
free, no-obligation initial consultations so that you can be fully informed before making any decisions.
Do I need an attorney or should I represent myself?
Retaining the services of an experienced attorney who is tough and dedicated
to getting the best possible result is almost always the best choice.
I believe that we "little guys" may be small, but have the Constitution,
Supreme Court decisions, and rights as Americans on our side. With the
knowledge of the courtroom, its players, and the legal process, I have
the tools and skills to make a difference between a good and bad result.
